The set meal plan pricing includes delivery. For a la carte orders, we may charge a delivery fee based on delivery volume.

Do I have to be home to receive my meals?

No. If no one is home at the time of delivery, we will leave the package outside your door. However, we recommend that you pick up your package as soon as possible to prevent theft and unsafe temperatures. If you know you aren’t going to be home, we can deliver your order in a reusable thermal bag.

Yes! We offer gift certificates and our meal plan delivery service, and meal-in-jars, make great housewarming gifts, gifts for new parents, seniors, and sympathy/bereavement care packages, etc.

Do you allow substitutions in the weekly meal plan bundles?

You can always order what you want a la carte. The weekly meal plan is chef’s choice. If you have ordered a weekly meal plan and we have a dietary restriction on file for you, we will automatically substitute another suitable meal for you.

Can I order meals a la carte?

 Yes!

Are the containers recyclable?

Yes!

Are the packages BPA-free?

Yes!

I don’t like the amount of plastic packaging most meal services use. Do you have alternative packaging options?

We do offer the option to deliver your food plated in Pyrex containers, which are microwave, oven, and freezer-safe. There is a start-up cost associated with this option, so we recommend that you try the service for a few weeks before you switch to this option. Once you know you are ready for Pyrex, you can contact us for a quote.

Can I microwave the meals in the packages that they come in?

Yes! They are microwave safe, but not oven safe.

I don’t have a microwave; can I heat the meals up in the oven?

While our trays are NOT oven-safe, you may still transfer the contents from the tray to an oven-safe dish and heat them up that way. Or consider switching to our Pyrex option.

Do you charge for shipping?

Yes, we charge standard priority mail rates for shipping on any orders under $100. Orders over $100 ship for free.

Do you ship in mason jars?

No, all mail order meal mixes ship in sealed polypropylene bags.

I bought some of your jars at an event and would like to order more to give as a gift. How can I do this?

We can prepare a special order of jars for pickup at our facility in Natomas. Please do not use the online meal kits shop for your order, as we would automatically package in bags and ship. Instead, email us with a list of jars you would like to order and we will make arrangements for pickup.

Are all the dry meal kits gluten-free?

All dry meal kits with the exception of the regular cookie mixes are gluten-free.

Are all the dry meal kits vegan?

All dry meal kits, with the exception of cookie mixes that have white chocolate and/or peanut butter chips in them, are vegan and can easily be prepared vegan by switching out the butter in the instructions for vegan butter, and replacing each egg with 1/4 cup aquafaba.

Can I add dry meal kits to my meal plan order?

We use different shopping carts on our website for the two product lines, as one is set up for mail-order and the other is for local delivery.
